18 Juniper Ln - 1/2/13

Around 05:54 hours on 1/2/13 the Westbury FD responded to a Working House Fire at 18 Juniper Lane

[Maplewood Drive, the cross street] in New Cassel - On scene: 9601 IC, 9602, 9603, 966 (1st Due Engine

from Station 2), 969 (2nd Engine from HQ) , 963 (1st Truck  - HQ) , 962 (2nd Truck - St.2)  , 964 (Heavy Rescue - HQ.)

Asst. Chief Gass ( 9603) 1st on scene, transmitted working fire and reported flames out a window on 2nd floor - 4 side.

Carle Place FD one engine to standby HQ - ( Took in an AFA @ Meadowbrook Point )

Jericho FD TL 941 was the FAST team &  9401 Chief Ginzberg

Main body of fire was knocked down quickly, keeping fire in 2nd floor Bedroom with minimal extension to hallway.

All searches were negative, (2) 1.75 " lines stretched, one in operation. On scene time approx. 75 minutes.
